You can detect the space station with NASA’s new application!

Ana sayfa / Popular Science

The International Space Station (ISS) orbits the Earth 16 times a day. This means it will likely pass over your neighborhood at some point. NASA developed an application so that we can easily detect this space station. iOS and Android have made the process easier with the brand new Spot the Station app. Here are the details…

It is possible to detect the space station with NASA’s new application!

Space stations are located 250 miles above our heads. Despite this distance, the sun’s rays are reflected from the solar panels. Thanks to this reflection, it is actually easy to detect the space station. You just need to know when to look up.

If you want to know when the space station passed over you, there is a very easy way. NASA currently has a website to help you find out when the orbital outpost is passing overhead. If you enter your address, NASA will also notify you via e-mail.

NASA will test the world’s first commercial space plane!

NASA will test Dream Chaser, the first commercial space plane built by Sierra Space, in its own laboratories.

NASA has now made a big breakthrough. He developed an application for this. Introduced the brand new Spot the Station app for Android and iOS.

The app provides additional capabilities and information to make the experience of viewing the station even more interesting. For example, you can configure it to send a notification when passing by. It makes it easier for users to find the station with its augmented reality interface. You can also use this app to capture and share images of the station.

The date at the top of the app screen indicates the next time the ISP will be visible in your area. Once you select the date, there is a section that shows the station heading towards you and lists all upcoming dates and times. NASA named this section ‘Upcoming Sights’.

If you look carefully, you’ll notice that most opportunities to see the space station are in the early evening or early morning. If you download the application and turn on notifications, the first notifications will arrive at approximately 5 in the morning. If you want to sleep, you can block it with a small setting and only receive notifications in the evening.

When you return to the home page, you will see a 3D representation of the Earth, showing the station’s current location. You’ll also see where the space station is, along with a line showing where it’s going. The 2D map below offers similar information. It also shows day and night zones.
